March 14, 2025 – “Oishi Shimane” Certification Obtained
May 12, 2025 – On-site Verification of Sustainable Initiatives by Shimane Prefecture

In March 2025, the production process of “JUKU” obtained the Oishi Shimane certification. The Oishi Shimane certification is a system in which Shimane Prefecture officially recognizes products that are produced in accordance with GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards established by the prefecture. These standards are based on Japan’s national JGAP and international GAP standards and certify the production of safe and reliable agricultural and fishery products.
The system evaluates food safety, animal welfare, environmental considerations, labor safety, and more, recognizing production methods that ensure consumer trust and safety. Moreover, the management standards of Oishi Shimane certification correspond to 13 SDG goals, making it a GAP certification that contributes to achieving the SDGs.
In May 2025, leveraging the Oishi Shimane certification, Jukuho Farm underwent on-site verification specifically for its sustainable initiatives beyond the certification standards, including the use of food manufacturing by-products as feed, integrated crop-livestock collaboration, and utilization of sawmill by-products. These initiatives were officially recognized by Shimane Prefecture as a public third-party authority, and Jukuho Farm began using its own Sustainable Mark as proof.
This recognition of sustainable initiatives through public-private collaboration and the introduction of the Sustainable Mark is the first such initiative in Japan.
